1st LAUGHING FESTIVAL

1st LAUGHING FESTIVAL

from 08 to 14 July 2017

From 08 to 14 July 2017, Ischgl hosts the 1st Laughing Festival. Summer holidaymakers can expect an event at which the name is the programme: Cabaret artists from Austria, Switzerland and Germany will perform at this humoristic get-together. Kicking off the laughing festival are, for example, Isabella Woldrich and great German state actor Peter Fricke to get the guests laughing. But that’s not all by a long way: Children and parents can expect a colourful supporting programme, making sure that children’s eyes light up.

With the 1st Laughing Festival, the organisation “Global Family” and the holiday region Paznaun-Ischgl support families in Austria, Germany and Switzerland who have fallen on hard times. Voluntary donations are requested as admission for the cabaret evenings. All proceeds will go to the “travel agency of humanity”.

Two great events happening in late September in Galtür & Ischgl

This weekend (19 Sept) is the Almabtrieb in Ischgl when the local farmers celebrate the end of the cattle grazing season in the higher meadows.  It’s one of those truly authentic customs which the Austrians still cling to as part of their proud farming and rural heritage.
